The Microsoft Surface will be released October 26th along with the general availability of Windows 8. A special limited-quantity pre-order for Surface with Windows RT started today at 9AM PDT. The pricing comes out to be not too bad since it was originally ballparked to be the same pricing as Ultrabooks. The three configurations for Surface with Windows RT include:
- 32GB version at $499 USD
- 32GB version with a black Touch Cover at $599 USD
- 64GB version with a black Touch Cover at $699 USD
The Touch Covers outside of the bundle will come in black, white, magenta, cyan, and red at a price of $199.99 USD each. A black Type Cover will be available for $129.99, which includes moving keys for a traditional feel.
