James Lyne of Sophos demonstrated how people are failing when it comes to Wifi security. He went to NYC and demonstrated a few different ways a malicious actor could be using Wifi to get personal information, steal money, or spread malware. It’s crazy how many people connected to his demo offering free wifi or even when it charged a dollar.
Sophos’ tips for secure wifi:
- Keep your computer up to date.
- Use VPN.
- Use web filtering.
