To demo their high availability product for Linux servers, Symantec had two servers hooked up, operational, and using their service. They then threw the primary datacenter server off the top of the building to smash into the sidewalk below. According to the guy giving the thumbs up symbol, their services were still up even though they had just lost a datacenter.
