Facebook recently crossed the 1 billion user threshold. That puts their membership at 1/7th of the world’s population. Despite the quantity of members, the company has not been doing so well since going public (though they’re still doing better than Zynga in the stock market). Last week, Facebook put out a video to promote the company. It doesn’t focus a whole lot on selling you Facebook, its features or benefits. Instead, the commercial compares Facebook to a chair. Even doorbells, airplanes, bridges, basketball, and more are fair game for comparison to Facebook in this ad.
