Can You Run it? from www.systemrequirementslab.com provides an ActiveX or Java browser component that runs, detects your hardware, and then compares it to the hot, upcoming game you selected.
www.canyourunit.com can tell you whether your computer meets or exceeds the minimum and recommended requirements for any game in its database with only a few clicks. Then you can pretty confidently know that you are good to go or if you need to get your upgrades in place before you spend the money on the game.
The only caveat to this site is that I would not recommend clicking on the affiliate links off to the side of your results that offers “click here for the latest ______ drivers”. Always go directly to your card’s manufacturer for driver updates.
