Movavi PDF Editor – Product Review

Everyone has been in a situation where they’ve been emailed images that are sideways or upside down. It’s easy enough to resolve this issue by rotating the image using one of many basic image editors that are pre-installed on most PCs and Macs.

However, what if you receive a PDF file where some of the pages are upside down or turned sideways? This is a trickier problem because Adobe Reader – which comes pre-installed on some computers – does not have the capability of rotating pages within a PDF file.

Of course there is the full version of Adobe Acrobat that supports editing of PDF files, BUT – it is priced at $299 for a Standard edition (alternatively there is the option to subscribe to a monthly plan). Either of these options seem like overkill, since all you’re trying to do is rotate a few pages in a document.

This is where a tool like the Movavi PDF Editor comes in handy. In addition to providing users with the ability to rotate PDF files, the PDF Editor from Movavi offers capabilities to address some of the other most common use-cases that come up when dealing with PDF documents. These capabilities are listed below.

There is barely any learning curve associated with using the PDF Editor to rotate pages within a PDF file. It can be done in three simple steps outlined below:

  1. Download and install the PDF Editor
  2. Add a PDF file containing the pages that you wish to rotate (see Figure 1)
  3. Select and rotate the page(s) that are improperly aligned (Figure 2). Save. Done.

The Movavi PDF Editor is competitively priced and a Free Trial Download is available for both PC and Mac. The product is a viable alternative for users who do not have a need to go beyond the common use cases associated with editing PDF files.

Users seeking to avoid the “bloat” of a full Adobe Acrobat installation or the cost of a recurring Adobe cloud subscription should consider giving this product a try.
