Volunteer to teach computer science in high schools with TEALS

Most US high schools do not have a computer science course. This puts those students at a disadvantage in understanding their future options compared to their peers at other high schools. Learning these computational skills can help no matter what career path a student chooses due to the problem-solving nature of computer science and the ubiquity of technology.

TEALS is supported by Microsoft Philanthropies. It brings together professional software developers and schools to offer either an Introduction to Computer Science course or AP Computer Science. If you have a computer science (CS) degree or industry experience and want to give back, you can take the Summer training program and become a volunteer with TEALS. You do not have to work for Microsoft. Schools can apply in November 2017 to be considered for the 2018-19 school year.
