Disqus 2012 launches new features for site commenting

Disqus is one of a few companies that have worked on perfecting the system of commenting on the web. While most CMS software comes with a basic commenting system, these other companies have been able to take it further, integrate with social media, and giving people identities on the web instead of just silos on each site. With the launch of Disqus 2012, the features have only gotten better.

Disqus 2012 in general just improves on its previous features across the board. It works on WordPress, Drupal, Blogger, tumblr, or with just HTML & JavaScript. The new features include a refreshed interface with updates in real-time to keep the conversation going. You also have the ability to share comments to other social media, reactions on Twitter to your content, and tagging to include others in the conversation with autocomplete.

See the new features explained on the Disqus announce blog post yesterday. They also have a nifty tour setup at disqus.com

I implemented Disqus as part of my site update to combat blog spam comments. It’s worked great with that aspect, filtering spam, providing a great moderation interface, and off-loading server processing. I enabled the Disqus 2012 features yesterday for 404 Tech Support. Go ahead and try out the comments below.
