Dropbox makes collaboration the star of latest update

Competing with other cloud service providers, Dropbox announced a number of features today with an emphasis on team-based work. The Dropbox website has received a redesign, focusing on team functionality. The big collaboration feature is named Dropbox Paper. This workspace allows people to work on the same ideas together.

Starting today, Dropbox Paper is generally available in 21 languages around the world. Paper users will now also be able to add due dates and assign owners to tasks, providing teams with even greater project management capabilities within Paper. The company also provided an early preview of projects, a shared space in Paper where teams can organize content, which will be rolling out to select teams starting today.

Dropbox Smart Sync improves the sync/storage problem for users. People can have access to all of their cloud files without taking up space on their local drive. This feature works on Windows (Vista – Windows 10) and macOS (10.9+). We saw this previewed last year under a different name, Project Infinite.
