Dell is 32 years old and rebranding to Dell Technologies following its purchase of EMC. Founder Michael Dell made the announcement at EMC World and also published the announcement on LinkedIn.
Dell Technologies will be the name behind the family of businesses. It will include Dell, EMC II, VMware, Pivotal, SecureWorks, RSA, and Virtustream. The PC line will be branded Dell while the enterprise business will be Dell EMC.
