Amazon offers new monthly subscription options to Prime, Prime Video

Amazon has begun offering its Prime membership as a monthly subscription in addition to the original annual option. This move is a change of pace for the e-retailer who previously offered Amazon Prime as a one-size-fits-all bundle, which includes free two-day shipping, Prime Photos storage, Prime Video, Prime Music, and the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library. The change also follows on the heels of the Netflix price increase.

Customers may now subscribe to only Prime Video for $8.99/month. A new option also allows subscribing to the full Prime bundle monthly at $10.99/month. Choosing the annual subscription of $99 will save you 25% over the monthly plan though and provides access to all of Amazon’s offerings. The new monthly offerings are great if you only want to watch one of Amazon’s original series on Prime Video or only need the two-day shipping around the holidays.

No matter which plan you pick, you can join Amazon Prime with a free 30-day trial.
