Ford introduces FordPass mobile app

Automaker Ford is transforming themselves into an auto and “mobility” company. As part of that transformation, they are launching FordPass in April, which “aims to do for car owners what iTunes did for music fans.”

The free membership includes mobile services with FordGuides, loyalty benefits, and FordHubs. Through partnerships with ParkWhiz and FlightCar, along with FordPay, the company strives to simplify finding parking, share or borrow transporation, or pay for mobility expenses. McDonald’s and 7-Eleven are even on-board to offer loyalty rewards. FordHubs will open in major cities around the world.

FordPass also includes the opening of FordHubs, where consumers will be able to explore the company’s latest innovations, learn about its mobility services and experience exclusive events. The first of these urban storefronts opens later this year at Westfield World Trade Center in New York, followed by FordHubs in San Francisco, London and Shanghai.
