Automatically change your Android wallpaper

When it comes to the wallpaper on my phone, there are either too many neat ones to decide between or it has been on my phone too long and I’m tired of it. The solution for me has been to use an app to automatically change the wallpaper, similar to what Windows allows you to do.

Step 1: Install the app Wallpaper Changer from Google Play.

Step 2: Create a folder with your wallpapers in them if you don’t have one already.

Step 3: Launch Wallpaper Changer and create an album to point to your folder of wallpapers.

Step 4: Change your wallpaper manually to the Wallpaper Changer live wallpaper.

You can then configure when you want the wallpaper to change and configure image position (fill, fit, or stretch). You can also configure how often the folder is rescanned for new images.

This app can give you variety on your wallpaper and lockscreen or keep things more professional by changing your wallpaper with your work schedule or location. The app has worked well for me with no detrimental impact on battery or performance.

If you can’t find a schedule or trigger that works for you, the app also comes with a widget to tap and queue up a wallpaper change.
