Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc. officially two separate companies

It seems that large companies see the agility of startups and wish that they were small again. As their core products reach small profit margins, these companies are separating to allow their enterprising potential grow. Symantec split into Symantec and Veritas, PayPal and eBay split up, and effective today, HP has split into two companies.

Announcing the change last year and receiving SEC approval last month, the split into Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc. takes effect today, November 1st, 2015.

HP Inc. retains the computer, server, printer, and other hardware manufacturing and sales. Hewlett Packard Enterprise will provide enterprise services to organizations.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is an industry leading technology company that enables customers to go further, faster. With the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio, spanning the cloud to the data center to workplace applications, Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s technology and services help customers around the world make IT more efficient, more productive and more secure.
