April Fools 2015 around the web

It’s that time of year again. Here are some of the best of the web gags I have found this year:

Amazon Retro – Amazon took a retro look to its homepage.

Google Actual Cloud Platform – Google is launching clouds, literally.

Google Fiber Dial-up mode – Google Fiber too fast? Slow it down with Dial-Up Mode

Google Maps Pac ManPlay Pac Man across city streets in Google Maps.

Google Panda Search Product – SEO and site owners might hate Panda but Google Japan seems to love it. Now a cuddly, plush search engine you can take with you.

Google Smartbox by Inbox – Add some smarts to your snail mailbox.

MS-DOS Mobile – Microsoft is launching MS-DOS Mobile for Lumia phones.

Tesla gets into the wearable market – Tesla has made a wearable smart watch, the Model W.

Motorola makes a selfie stick – Most companies overlook the quality that the stick deserves.

Imgur announces Collaborative Imgur – Work with others to come up with titles, descriptions, and images collaboratively.

Notepad++ hacked by Chameleon Liberation Front – they want the chameleon removed from the logo and all of the Internet.

Redbox announces Petbox – Movies and games for pets including tweaked popular movies like Gone Squirrel and Furry.

Hulu also went pet-friendlyHulu Pets introduces new shows like Clawed City, The Real Pugs of Portland, The Bark, and Bone Appetit.

 TorrentFreak had two reports today:

Kayako announces mobile app for Nokia 3310 – A mobile app on an old school cell phone.

ThinkGeek has tons of new products today – Like a Steam-Powered gaming cabinet, Do It YourSelfie 360 Selfie rig. Game of Thrones Clue, Groot Beer (from Guardians of the Galaxy), Power Wheels Desert Drifters, the Voltron Cat Condo, and others.

XKCD needs help recovering data – XKCD as a cloud host apparently wouldn’t be a great choice through this interactive comic.

Reddit Button – Reddit has introduced the button that you can only press once but it resets every time somebody presses it. Can it go 60 seconds without somebody around from the Internet pressing it?

CERN researchers confirm existence of The Force – I guess they found midichlorians from Star Wars.

Raspberry Pi – Model C – The Raspberry Pi community collaborated with a fake product (with awesome specs) but included reviews from external sites to add credibility.

Google Spam – Google Operating System reports a new Google Product that allows you to read all of the spam that you’ve been missing because Gmail filters it out.

Backwards Google – com.google provides you Google with everything mirrored backwards.

Birchenall Howden offers live technician monitoring – Watch your technicians live as they perform switch management, cleaning drives, and more.

GlobeRunner hires Matt Cutts – An SEO company hired Google’s head of the Web Spam team. Matt Cutts is currently on leave at Google, which adds a little credibility to the story as well as the article was published a little early (that’s cheating!).

GoDaddy IPO – $GDDY actually isn’t an April Fools joke, it’s opening today with shares priced at $20 each giving the company a $4.5 billion valuation.

Amazon Dash – Just push a button and it will automatically order the branded product directly from Amazon. Exclusive to Prime members. Is it real or fake? Surprise, it’s real!
