Earlier this week, Google announced Google Fit, an Android app for tracking your activity. Not far behind, Microsoft is announcing Microsoft Health and their first wearable to utilize Microsoft Health, the Microsoft Band.
The band comes in three sizes: small, medium, and large. You can use Microsoft’s sizing guide to print a PDF to see what size writst you have before ordering. The band costs $199.99 and is available for pre-order from MicrosoftStore.com or at a Microsoft Store in person.
The band has built-in GPS to record your routes, gives an indication of UV levels to protect from sunburn, and can be personalized to rearrange tiles and choose your background style and color. It’s designed to work with Android, iOS, or Windows Phones. It can show your text messages and incoming calls as well as email and calendar.

Microsoft Health is the cloud-based service providing the intelligence behind the data collection from different devices. It works with RunKeeper and MyFitnessPal and uses the data to provide you with insights and help you reach your fitness goals.
