Microsoft’s Windows event at noon today

Microsoft is hosting an event at noon (Central time) today to discuss what’s next for Windows and the enterprise. Most likely this is an event to provide the technical preview of Windows 9 but there is also the possibility for updates to Windows 8.

Since this is more enterprise and less consumer, Microsoft decided to not do a video feed of the event, which the press was invited to in San Francisco. Many of the final features may still be missing at this point but I have always found it helpful to get as much information as possible as soon as possible when it comes to big operating system changes.

Microsoft personnel Joe Belfiore and Terry Myerson will be delivering the presentation of the OS codenamed Windows Threshold. Developers and enterprise customers will be most interested in finding out the upcoming changes.
