After six months in beta, RHEL has reached general availability. Subscribers to Red Hat Enterprise Linux can now check out version 7 after its release yesterday. The announcement was made in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Blog, the developer blog, and with an official press release.

If you were planning on getting a certification, you might redirect your efforts to RHEL 7. The RHEL6 exam, according to sources, should still be available until December 2014. If you want the release compiled without the trademarked material, wait for CentOS 7.
