Verizon FiOS is using Samsung’s undressed fiber to make an install look better. The naked fiber is clear and thin. When run around a home, it is very difficult to notice compared to traditional coax, speaker wire, or other cables you might have tracing the walls. Instead of being an eyesore, the Magic Wire from Samsung Fiberoptics disappears.
