DockPort was officially adopted as an extension to DisplayPort by VESA. Hopefully it will begin to catch on more from here because the video really shows some cool functionality waiting for a convenient, standardized port.

DockPort was developed as a partnership between AMD and Texas Instruments. The VESA specification will finalize in Q2 2014.
