NeverWet hits stores

Rust-Oleum NeverWet is a superhydrophobic coating that has made it to the consumer market. As the name implies, a coating of NeverWet repels liquid and causes it to bead around rather than get absorbed.

NeverWet is applied in a two layer coating. The company partnered with Rust-Oleum to bring the product to market.

Despite what the following video shows, it is not intended for electronics or clothing. This video looks like the beginning of the next meme like “Will it blend?”

NeverWet is available in an 18 oz kit containing step 1 and step 2 spray cans. You can find it at Home Depot for $19.97. Amazon.com has it available for higher through other merchants.

You can learn more about the NeverWet product at its Rust-Oleum site.
