Real Housewives of Silicon Valley

Randi Zuckerberg, former marketing director of Facebook and sister of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, created a media studio after resigning from Facebook. That studio’s first production is now airing on the Bravo channel, titled Start-Ups: Silicon Valley. The series premiered on November 5th.

The premise of the reality show is to “capture the intertweining lives of young professionals on the path to becoming Silicon Valley’s next great success stories.” Sure, it doesn’t hurt that they’re all photogenic and primed for drama but they’re trying to show the work and risk of being an entrepreneur in the tech industry’s Mecca.

I’m not the target audience and I’m just sharing the facts here but a series giving people a look inside Silicon Valley sounds pretty interesting. Unfortunately, to make it more TV-friendly and appealing to female audiences, it is focusing on the interpersonal issues than watching somebody code for 8 hours straight.
