Resources for trying the Office 2013 Preview

We shared yesterday’s announcement of the Office 2013 preview and today we’re following up with some resources to make your testing experience more rewarding by sharing some resources that should come in handy as you take the new Office 365 for a spin and check out some of the new features. Everything from how to install to known issues seems to already be in place if you know where to look.

Keith Mayer with the IT Pros Rock blog has written up an excellent Step-by-step guide to installing the new Office 2013 customer preview.

Of course, even installing Office 2013 might be a little ahead of where you are if you have questions you want answered before you get started. For that, check out the Office Preview FAQ that covers about the preview, installing, using office, support, and ending the preview.

Couldn’t wait to check it out and you are already running the preview? If you are running into any little odd quirks, you can check out the Office Preview known issues site to investigate the problem and report it if it’s something new.

Finally, if you would like to see some of the extensibility of Office Preview, you can shop the Office Preview Store for a number of apps (most are free) that can extend your Office functionality. Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint have a number of apps available with more slated to arrive soon. There are also Office Add-ins available for free or free trial for the Office Preview to check out.

If you have any other resources that are aiding your test run of the Office 2013 preview, please share in the comments. First impressions would also be great to hear.
