Everybody likes to save money, but sometimes there can be ‘gotchas’ to the freebies or discounts. You might get 10% off but in exchange you have to use a rewards card that allows your purchases to be tracked. You might enjoy free shipping but you have to sign up with an email address to receive it. Just signing up for a company’s newsletter can overwhelm your inbox if you sign up for enough companies and they send them very frequently. Fortunately, there is a solution available for this latter problem.
Swizzle Gallery allows you to follow participating companies that you care about. You can visit the website to learn about the deals or receive an optional daily deal digest of all the new deals. Instead of multiple companies emailing you multiple times a day, there is only one – and it’s optional!
If you go to The Swizzle website after signing up, you can check out the deals of any participating companies or just watch the Deal Stream to get the latest from the companies you follow. This allows you to see mailings from companies you are interested in without having to subscribe – great for when you travel to other places and have access to companies that aren’t near where you live.
To use Swizzle, you just sign up for an account or use a Facebook account to sign in. You then choose shopping categories of interest to generate a list of companies that you might be interested in following.
Swizzle, still in beta, has over 1,100 companies on board. You can choose which to follow based on your interest or visit their individual pages whenever you plan to do some shopping from that vendor. You can see companies like Apple, Target, Macy’s, Gap, Starbucks, NewEgg, Home Depot, and many more are available.
Check out the Swizzle Gallery to “save your inbox from email overload”.
They also offer another service called Swizzle Sweeper that promises to assist in unsubscribing from mass mails. Leaving your individual subscriptions and merging them into Swizzle’s daily digest would certainly save your inbox from a lot of clutter.
