Send your documents to Kindle with Amazon’s new software

Moving society away from such heavy reliance on paper comes at one painful inch at a time. Amazon’s Kindle and other eReaders and tablets out there have certainly done a lot to assist in the cause. Amazon has made available an application for Windows that would allow you to send your personal documents to your Kindle devices. With it installed, you can either right-click a document and select ‘Send to Kindle’ or you can print the document and choose the Send to Kindle printer, much like printing to PDF.

When you send a document, you can choose delivery method, title, author, and which device(s) it is sent to.

The big feature is that the last read page along with bookmarks, notes, and highlights will be synchronized for your documents (except .pdf files) across your other Kindle devices and apps.

With the restrictions of a file size of 50MB or less and no more than 25 documents at a time, the supported file types include:

If you’re a Kindle device owner or app user, you can download the software and find out more from Amazon’s Send to Kindle page.
