Make an MP3 recording straight from your browser

Services right in your browser are pretty cool. They’re convenient, available on any computer, and don’t require installing any software. We have seen this approach before with Splashup and SUMO Paint. Today, I would like to highlight Record MP3.

The service Record MP3 provides, I hope is pretty obvious. The website allows you to record audio right in your browser as long as you have Adobe Flash and a microphone. When you first visit the site, you will need to have your microphone plugged in before you can do anything. Next, you will have to allow Flash to access your camera/microphone for the site.

You should now be all set to record your audio and play it back. Once you are satisfied with the audio, you can click the Save Recording button which will give you the option to download the file or access it later with a URL you could share directly to the MP3 file hosted on the site.

Record MP3 is pretty straight forward but its simplicity improves its usefulness.
