Apple Releases iOS5 Allowing iCloud to Operate

Yesterday, Apple released iCloud which had long been anticipated by Apple enthusiasts – in particular, iTunes lovers.  However, there was one major problem: it needed an operating system that had not been released yet.

Apple entering the market as a cloud company was no surprise. Amazon and Google had both already released their own cloud programs, and it was just a matter of time before Apple launched its own. What was surprising was that Apple would launch its cloud service before it had the all the components needed to effectively operate.

But those interested in fully taking advantage of iCloud didn’t have to wait for long. Today, Apple finally released iOS 5 allowing those interested full access to iCloud. Music lovers can now begin their epic downloading of just about any song they desire to create the ultimate playlist. Of course, to make the downloading and sharing of all this music legal, users will be expected to pay a flat annual fee.

However, the release of iOS 5 doesn’t just mark the opening of the iCloud, it also brings several updates to pre-existing devices. iPhones, iPads, and iPods are all set to benefit from the new operating system. The new iOS 5 will grant users updates to their Notification Centers and Reminders to help streamline their life, the camera feature has been updated to allow for more accessible photo taking, and better site-use through Safari mobile. There are a variety of other updates that iOS 5 that Apple enthusiasts will be sure to take advantage of.

iCloud isn’t just for the music lover either. Although the program is competing predominately with Amazon, it has proven to be quite the contender, if not already the industry leader, in the 24 hours it has been out. In addition to music storage and sharing, iCloud allows user to upload photos and documents and then seamlessly puts them on all of your Apple devices. You can literally sync all of your apps providing greater use and better efficiency.

Even if you don’t find yourself very enthralled with the idea of cloud computing, Apple’s iCloud and the new iOS 5 are definitely worth looking in to. Apple device users should seek to download iOS 5 regardless, as the new operating system will provide better overall functionality of their devices.
