Sony Extends Offer for Identity Theft Protection After PSN Hack

Following the Sony PSN breach, Sony offered a Welcome Back program to thank customers for their loyalty. In addition to the free games and access to PlayStation Plus, which ended last Tuesday, Sony offered identity theft protection to all customers with a PSN account before April 20, 2011. The offer for ID theft protection originally was set to end on June 28th but has been extended to July 31st, according to a post on the PlayStation blog.

If you missed your chance at the identity theft protection before, be sure to get signed up now before the end of the month. The protection comes in the form of the AllClear ID Plus service from Debix, Inc. which offers $1 Million ID Theft Insurance, identity repair, proactive monitoring, and alerts.
