Amazon More Than Keeping Up With The Cloud Joneses – Announces Unlimited Music Storage and iPad App

It is getting to look like stormy skies with all these cloud services around. Amazon Cloud Player, Google Music Beta, and iCloud are all offering space to store your music. Amazon just officially upped the ante with a press release tonight. If you subscribe to a paid Cloud Drive (the cheapest being $20/year for 20GB), it now includes unlimited space for .mp3 and .m4a files. Amazon MP3 purchases also do not counting against the plan.

The other announcement tonight tells that the Amazon Cloud Player for Web is now available on the iPad. Using Safari, an iPad user is able to visit www.amazon.com/cloudplayer and stream their music anywhere.

The music cloud business is in full swing. Which company has your business or looks the most enticing? Is there anything holding you back from trusting the “cloud” with your files? Did anything change following the weekend’s Dropbox Terms of Service debacle?
