Microsoft Meets The Cloud With Office 365 or “Microsoft Apps”

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer led a presentation today that announced Office 365 was no longer in beta and is now available to purchase. The beta of Microsoft’s Office suite as cloud apps was launched last year and has now been released to the web.

Microsoft Office applications are at the heart of Office 365. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Outlook and other Office applications connect to Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint and Lync to deliver a world-class solution for communication and collaboration.

Prices range from $6 per user per month to $27 per user per month with many possible configurations for an organization. You can find out all the details of Office 365 at the official site, from today’s press release, or by watching the announcement event from Microsoft.
