Simulators For D-Link Interfaces

We’ve covered HP BIOS simulators and Linksys/Cisco simulators before and now you can find the simulators that D-Link provides through its support pages for its networking devices. Having the user interface available can be very handy in tech support situations when you’re trying to walk somebody through making a change to their router over the phone.

You can view the devices that D-Link has simulators (or emulators) for on this Support page. You may have to select what country you’re from first.

Once there, you can scroll through the list to find the device model and firmware version that you need. Just clicking on the model number will pull up the user interface in your browser and you can check out the pages as if it were on your own network.

User names and passwords tend to be filled in for you or they seem to be the defaults.

In addition to tech support uses, it can also be helpful when investigating a product before purchase. A clean, configurable interface can go a long way towards making a smart purchase.
