Microsoft Brings March Madness To Your Outlook Calendar

As if productivity in March didn’t take a big enough hit already, Microsoft has created a free calendar you can add to Outlook  in order to keep track of all the 2011 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament games. If you have Outlook 2007 or 2010, you can subscribe to a calendar and the schedule, teams, and locations will be updated as the tournament advances.

Visit the March Madness page on office.microsoft.com and click on the Subscribe to the Free March Madness calendar. If you have Outlook installed on that computer, it should automatically open the .ics webcal file.

Putting it in Outlook will not only allow you to keep track of your team to know when they’re playing but it will also allow you to overlay it with your other calendars. This way you might be able to find a time slot where your favorite team is playing and you’re meeting free. Plan for lunch at the sports bar and you’ll be able to catch a part of the game.

If you’re stuck streaming the games at work, perhaps you’ll need to get back to work instantly when the boss is coming.
