Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, Interviewed on 60 Minutes Tonight and a Look at Tomorrow’s Profile Redesign

In a fluke chance, I ended up catching tonight’s 60 Minutes on CBS and got to see Mark Zuckerberg’s interview on the news show. In it, he talks about how Facebook (the company) operates, where it’s headed, and its depiction in the highly praised movie The Social Network including the twins who claim Zuckerberg ripped them off. There is also discussion of privacy, upcoming features, and competition with Google. The interview is interesting but by and large it’s mostly annoying because the reporter interviewing Mark Zuckerberg is rude and not tuned into technology trends.

Granted I think I could have answered the reporter’s questions better than Mark Zuckerberg did, I still think she seemed too entitled to his time and any answers. She pushes the buttons for dramatic topics without actually revealing anything new (besides the new profiles coming tomorrow). You can find a video covering the new profile redesign over at 60 Minutes Overtime.

Kudos to Zuckerberg for opening himself up to another interview in which he gains nothing. He’s the same age as me and has about $6.9 billion more than me. That’s depressing.
