The Escapist, a popular gaming culture magazine, has a collection of features that make it very entertaining and informative in the areas of video game and sci-fi news, reviews, and everything in between. Unskippable is one of those feature I’d like to highlight.
If you’ve ever been really excited about a video game, ran to the store to buy it, brought it back, installed it, and then waited about 10 minutes for a ridiculous cut-scene to play through (that you couldn’t skip) so you could play the game, then you’ll know exactly where the folks with Unskippable are coming from. They bring a lot of entertainment to these otherwise absurd injections into your games as they provide voice-over commentary. With a little bit of parody and mockery (though most of it is provided by the ridiculous videos themselves), you can be very thoroughly entertained and get a new perspective on some of the popular game titles.
Sometimes with a little bit of an immature humor, the videos are still a riot and point out significant plot holes in many games.
Check out the Unskippable archives of previous videos and watch for new ones each week at The Escapist Magazine site.
